Movie Review - Miss Potter

Ahh. i love this movie. it has pretty much all the things i like in it...

painting

animals

a bit of romance

funny bits with kids

a pinch of fantasy

and of course,  Ewan Macgregor!

I just love Beatrix Potter's story and pictures! I have copied a few pictures myself.
All her art is just so cute!

Renee Zellwager was perfect. Just right!

and her parents...

i think that the actors they chose were perfcet. i dont know much about the rest of Beatrix Potter's family but sheepshanks  Bill Paterson and mrs jamieson Barbara Flynn where great.

Obi Wan Kenobi  Ewan Macgregor was perfect of course! I like the scene where he visits Beatrix for the first time... so jumpy and funny.

This is after the proposal.....ah the song! i love that bit
i don't know how many times we said "Obi-wan, your'e breaking the Jedi order!"

and the kids...

Younger Beatrix and her brother whose name escapes me...(:

I loved how they showed them quite a bit as kids... that was cool.

Mr. Heelis...
I really liked him. of course i would of liked her to marry Mr. Warne  but she and Mr. Heelis were a good match...you know, childhood friends.

"Jemima...Duck?"

oh, and her chaperone, Mrs. Wiggin who follows her Beatrix around...she is so funny!
this pic is really blurry so i'm keeping it tiny. it was the only one i could find!

I've crammed this full of pictures and hardly any words but i don't want to be spoiler for those who haven't seen. if you haven't, don't hesitate! it's a great movie!
Goodbye and God bless!

Dream Cast - Characters Who Didn't Make It

It's really annoying how movie-makers leave out some important characters, so my sisters and I are casting our own!

In the Anne of Green Gables movies, Davy and Dora Keith are left out. They are the twins Marilla adopts after Anne leaves home

No.1. Davy Keith.
For Davy, Jake Lloyd with curly hair is perfect.Jake Lloyd is little Anakin from STAR WARS.

No.2. Dora. Keith.
For Dora, Isabelle Allen. They are both small and sweet! Isabelle Allen is little Cosette in Les Mis.

In Les Mis 2012 they leave out Azelma Thenardier and Monsieur Mabeuf.

No.3. Azelma Thenardier.

Willow Shields. She is Prim in The Hunger Games. She's small and sharp. Perfect for Azelma.

No.4. Mabeuf.

Alec Guinness. No longer alive, but this is a dream cast! He acts as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars 4.

In the movie of Swiss Family Robinson, Jack Robinson is not included. He was my favorite!

No.5. Jack Robinson.
Skandar Keynes. I guess. Couldn't find anyone else.

In Little Woman 1994 Mr. Davis, Amy's teacher doesn't come up.It isn't really important, but...

No.6. Mr.Davis.
Eric House. Mr.Philips the teacher in Anne of Green Gables.

So there weren't many, and it was a bit boring, but i hope you enjoyed?

So long!

I am going in a pretty blue flower-patterned Marie Antoinette style dress, made by my amazing sis beth, and adjusted by moi.my sister beth posted pictures of our last one here. I will take as many pics as i can to post here!
And here it is!

Sorry but this was the best photo so you will have to crane your neck a bit! (or tilt your p.c.!)

It has a petty coat thing under neath and then the over part is laced up with a black ribbon.
I just can't wait to wear it and to go to the dance and take heaps of photos for you lovely people to look at!

Loom Band Tutorial - Friendship Frill Bracelet

Hey guys!
I can't believe it has taken this long for me to put a tutorial on here! Sadly my video's don't work on here so I've done it in pictures. This is a cute as bracelet called the "Friendship Frill" bracelet. My BFF designed it and we both made it.It is really cool so please try! We had so much fun making the video tutorial for it so is was a pity that it didn't work! ):

Anyway, enough chit chat, lets loom!

You will need:

48 bands in all. It is good to use 3 different colors, so 16 of each.
we used pink, yellow, and black.

12 black  4 for extension.                      1 loom

12 pink   4 for extension.                       1 S clip

12 yellow 4 for extension.                      1 hook

Have your loom in a straight configuration. The pins should be even at both ends. Have the arrows pointing away from you.

Taking the twelve pink, you will lay them on the outer edge of the loom, as if you were making an ordinary chain bracelet.

Lay it like this to the end of the loom.

It should then look like this.^

Then you will lay your yellow on the middle row, in the same way.

Lay it like this to the end of the loom

It should then look like this ^

You will now do the black bands. These should be placed in a square.
You should NOT MISS ANY PINS!
Like below..

You will lay them like this to the SECOND TO LAST PINS.

Like this ^

On the last pins a black band must be twisted round twice.
This is the cap band.

Now it is time to hook!
Turn your loom around so that the open side of the pins faces you.

Go inside the black cap band and hook the yellow to the next pin up.
Do the same with the pink.

It should look like this ^

Hook the yellow all the way up the loom.

It should look like this.^

Do the same with the pink, right to the end of the loom.

It should look like this.^

Slip your hook inside the yellow and black bands and take the yellow over onto the pin with the pink.

Then pull through them a pink band.

Slip the pink band onto your hook and pull the bracelet of the loom.

Slip one side of the pink band over the other to make a loose slipknot.

It should now look like this!

At the other end is the cap band. Slip this on to your hook.

Then pull a pink band through it. This is going to be the extension. Just keep slipping the next band through. It should look like a normal chain.

Like this ^

I did my 4 pink then 4 black then four yellow, as above.

At the other end, undo the slipknot.

Attach it to your S clip.

It should look like this ^

And now you have a really cute little bracelet!

I hope you liked this tutorial and the bracelet and I hope to do another tutorial sometime!
